A personal blog I visit quite often is MTAA RR. Unlike most personal blogs which do not give any real incentive for users to engage in the writing (often due to narcissism) Mark and T. Whid aka MTAA have produced a blog that is indiosyncratic and playful while also offering a high level of skepticism. In order words, their unconventional posts often have an underliying critical position worth respecting.

A post that caught my attention for the last couple of days deals with their latest performance piece combining binging and drawing in one: Drinkin' and Drawin' Championship. As the photographs show, lots of people participated, but leave it to the net artists to pull one of their own, as Neil Jenkins, NAR's correspondent and Furtherfield.org's collaborator was also able to participate all the way from Bristol, UK, by e-mailing his own drawing of a fish. As Neil's online participation shows, even in an event like this one making the most of networking can be taken quite literally.
